Countertop Calculator Los Angeles
Use this countertop calculator to estimate your kitchen countertop, bathroom vanity, island, backsplash, or BBQ countertop square footage before requesting a quote.
Enter each countertop section in inches, choose a material price, and get an estimated square footage and rough installed price range.
Countertop Square Footage Calculator
Measure each countertop area in inches. For example, a standard base cabinet run is usually around 25.5 inches deep, but islands, bars, vanities, and BBQ tops may be different.
This tool gives a rough estimate only. Final pricing depends on material, slab layout, sink cutouts, cooktop cutouts, edge detail, backsplash, seams, overhangs, demo, delivery, and installation conditions.
Quick Formula
For each piece:
Length × Depth ÷ 144 = Square Feet
Example: 96 inches × 25.5 inches ÷ 144 = 17 sq. ft.

How to Measure Countertops
You do not need perfect measurements to get started, but cleaner measurements help us quote faster.
Break It Into Sections
Measure each straight countertop run separately. For L-shaped or U-shaped kitchens, split each side into its own piece.
Measure Length
Measure the full length of each countertop section in inches, from wall to end or wall to appliance.
Measure Depth
Standard countertop depth is often around 25.5 inches, but islands, bars, vanities, and BBQs can vary.
Add Islands Separately
Measure kitchen islands as their own pieces. Include overhangs if seating or bar space is planned.
Include Backsplash
If you want a 4-inch, 6-inch, or full-height backsplash, include that in your estimate request.
Send Photos
Photos help us catch details that measurements miss, including sinks, ranges, corners, walls, and seams.
What the Calculator Does Not Include
The calculator gives you a square footage and rough installed price estimate. It does not replace a real countertop quote.
Some jobs cost more because of slab layout, waterfall panels, oversized islands, full-height backsplash, demo, plumbing, special sink cutouts, mitered edges, difficult access, or premium materials.
For accurate pricing, use the free estimate form and send photos, measurements, material choice, sink specs, and project location.
Real Quotes Include
- Material selection and availability
- Exact field measurements
- Sink and cooktop cutouts
- Edge profile
- Backsplash height
- Seam and slab layout
- Demo or removal if needed
- Delivery and installation conditions

Many kitchen countertops are about 25.5 inches deep, but islands, bars, vanities, BBQs, and custom countertops can be different.
